A breastfeeding bible

I found it sad that this edition included a note affirming gender inclusion and supporting use of preferred pronouns, BUT for sake of translation clarity and brevity they would be using traditional titles like “mother” and “breastfeeding.” I wish that something as sacred as breastfeeding and motherhood weren’t under attack, as MOTHERS were designed to carry, birth, and produce milk with their breasts to sustain the male or female life they birthed. There is no world where this should be more clear than the birth world/the lactation world. The information in this book is literally lifesaving for some and helpful for a thriving breastfeeding journey for others. Myself and all other lactating MOTHERS can find a lot of amazing info in here and it empowers us for further education to help new MOMS coming up behind us. Great book. I hate the pressure birth and lactation professionals are under to honor gender inclusion when there is only, quite literally, two genders with specific roles to play in this circle of life we are involved in.

Best reading material of IBCLC exam prep and general knowledge on breastfeeding

I am an OB/GYN from Germany and about to take the IBCLC exam in Berlin. I have found this atlas to be by far the best reading material in preperation for the exam. It has been educational, entertaining and the pictures are great! I absolutely loved reading your book and will recommend it to anyone specializing in this field. Thank you very much for this well researched gem that is based on such immense clinical experience! Best regards from Germany, Henny

At first, I was dreading reading through this book because it's a flip back and forth type of review. It's not bad once you delve into it. Some pictures seem a little old grained, however the CULTURE that appear in the photographs are put together beautifully. I can tell this book was blood, sweat, and tears to publish... and to keep updated! A common critique all readers likely have is: we wish this book were more durable, because by chapter 6, you tend to notice the spiral wearing out and up from the pages. I cannot give thanks to KH and BWC, enough! Thank you for your efforts and all your help. You've put a great piece of lactation education literature together. Thank you for this masterpiece!
